YOU would never truly know

You would never truly
know ease
Until
Someone brings it in
your life

You would never truly
feel care
Until someone does it for
you

You would never truly
know blessing
Until
Someone be that for you

You would never truly
believe in miracles
Until
Someone do wonders in
your day

You would never truly
know concern
Until
Someone is worried for
you

You would never truly
know happiness
Until
Someone is happy for you and because of you

You would never truly
know anticipation
Until
You look forward to
hearing from someone

You would never truly
know simplicity
Until
Someone simplifies life’s
complexity for you

And sometimes
someone is truly
blessed
To find their ease,
blessing and miracle
All bundled beautifully
together in someone
And that is who the very
first word I wrote

A Missed Chance

A missed opportunity of talking to Almighty Allah

You know

When you see your bus moving right past you

When a train is missed

When you lose your ticket and the flight takes off

That ache of longing That pain of yearning That comes from missing a chance of talking to your Best Friend

For a while you lose everything

The peace that holds you together

The strength that binds your being

Then you find another chance

That comes like an old friend

Like the cool breeze before the rain

Like a soothing reassurance

Then comes down the rain

That embraces you with open arms and a kind heart

It listens patiently Without judging And then everything morphs into ONE

From falling rain to dropping tears

Then

Tranquility befalls

In the lap of the aching heart

In that moment

The bond is mended

 and

The Oath is renewed

and

The Friendship gets stronger than ever

But

I still cry over this missed chance to pour my heart to you

A missed opportunity of talking to You about me and everything I had, I have and I will ever have

From everything that You love to the ones I do.

The hope remains Till we meet again In another realm.

The Recipe for Heart Break

Take an empty heart

add a bowl of expectations

and half a bowl of hopes

add a pinch of wishes

simmer it on a low flame of needs

sprinkle some eagerness

and present it  with sidelines of anticipation and excitement

and the perfect heartbreak is ready to devour.
